Worth spending time travelling from Bodrum. It was stunning and amazing. Tour guide was knowledgeable but should have given us more history about the place. We stopped for lunch which was buffet and splendid.
That was my first trip with Metin Tour to Pamukakle, amazing place and Stuff, Ahmed was very good helpful, bus with WiFi and AC,
Trip was phenomenal. Basically whole day you visit pamukkale and hierrapolis. That’s what’s worth. The rest of the trip is classical rip off. First in the leather company. Where they sell genuine leather jackets. But they also sell fake branded items like bags, belts etc. they pump up the price and then give you “discounted” price which is also higher then it should be. So do not fall victim for such a scam. Leather is nice but “discounted” price is at least 2x or eve 3x higher than it should be. Same story for the stones factory. Do not buy anything from there as you can find exactly same jewelry in the city center for 3x less money.
The ancient scenery was breathtaking. We really enjoyed the terraces and the ruins of the temple and amphitheatre, truly remarkable and a fantastic memory to have. However, two unnecessary stops by the tour company trying to make money on the side. The lunch, however, was rushed … they certainly need to extend the time either at lunch or at Heirapolis/Pamukkale.
The sights of Pamukkale are incredible, but they should be better preserved from us tourists. The place was overcrowded and some of the areas were dry. Cleopatra pools had so many people, it was quite impossible to enjoy them properly. There’s also an extra charge to enter the pools. 5 starts to the guide, Ali, he was knowledgeable and attentive. Transfer from and to the hotel were well-planned and on time.
